Steven Shortridge AIA

Steven Shortridge, AIA has been recognized by critics, peers and clients as a leading design influence in contemporary architecture. As a studio leader, he oversees the creative process on a broad variety of projects ? consistently bringing practicality and aesthetic integrity to fruition as highly livable and supremely beautiful examples of modern architecture.

In his relatively brief career, he has mastered the ability to develop a project from vision to reality ? from big-picture conceptualization through the impeccable execution of details. The results ? from corporate headquarters to residential renovations ? while diverse in scale, character and locale, share a warmth, integrity and timeless aesthetic that has become the signature of his work.

Steven received his undergraduate degree at Texas A&M University, and holds a Master of Architecture degree from M.I.T. He moved to Los Angeles in 1989 to work with celebrated designer Frank Israel with whom he eventually partnered and collaborated on a number of noteworthy commercial and residential projects. After Israel?s death in 1996, the firm evolved into Callas Shortridge Architects until 2010, when Steven founded Shortridge Architects. Steven is a registered architect and member of the American Institute of Architects.
